Esports arbitrage betting
Esports matches usually have two outcomes, so an arbitrage covers two teams. BETCYON compares match winner prices across four sportsbooks and says what it assumes.

How esports arbitrage works
Take the best price on each team from any sportsbook and add up the two implied probabilities. If the total is below 100%, staking each team in proportion to 1 ÷ odds returns the same amount whichever team wins the match.
Two esports examples
With 1.75 on one team and 2.30 on the other, the implied probabilities are 57.14% and 43.48%, a total of 100.62%. That is above 100%, so there is no arbitrage: staking 1,000 across both returns 993.83.
With 2.05 on one team and 2.10 on the other, the implied probabilities are 48.78% and 47.62%, a total of 96.40%. Betting 506.02 on the first and 493.98 on the second returns 1,037.35 either way, a profit of 37.35 or +3.73%. What BETCYON compares in esports
Match winner markets from 1win, 1XBET, Pinnacle and Gamegram. A completed series settles on the official result at each of them. Forfeits and dropouts are handled differently by each sportsbook, so they are covered by the stated assumption that the match completes normally.
Games are matched across sportsbooks by sport, kickoff time and team names. Virtual, simulated and eComp products are excluded.
Match winner and map winner
An esports series is played over one or more maps or games. The match winner market settles on who wins the series, while map or game markets settle on a single map. They are different bets and their prices cannot be combined.
BETCYON's esports opportunities use the match winner market. Titles such as CS2 appear in the sportsbooks' league names; virtual, simulated and eComp products are excluded from comparison.
What to check before you stake
- Read how each sportsbook settles a forfeit, a dropout or a series that is not completed.
- Look at how long ago each price was observed; BETCYON shows the age on every price.
- Remember that the figure leaves out fees, stake limits and rounding to the sportsbook's stake steps.
Risks specific to esports
- A forfeit, a dropout or a rescheduled series can settle differently at each sportsbook.
- Prices can change while a series is being played, so an old price can disappear before you place the second bet.
- Match winner and map winner are different bets and are not interchangeable.
